Nah, I don't think so. I've only ever seen promo codes work for online or app transfers. At the agent location it's just whatever the fee is at the counter.

Honestly, it really depends on the exchange rate and fees on that specific day and for that corridor. Both are generally good. I'd check both their apps for the exact amount you're sending and see which one gives you a better deal.

For a one-off, definitely compare the fees right before you send. Sometimes one is slightly better than the other, and it can change. Remitly sometimes has better first-time user offers, but MoneyGram also does. Just punch in the numbers on both.

I'm in it, and it's okay. You get discounts after a certain number of transfers, like reduced fees. It's not a huge saving every time but if you send often, it adds up a little.
